About me

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and registered member of the BACP.  My postgraduate diploma in counselling was completed at The University of Edinburgh and combined approaches from psychodynamic and person centred counselling.  I have worked in a variety of settings including providing counselling for NHS staff at NHS Lothian and providing student counselling at Edinburgh College. I now work solely in private practice.

I have worked with people who have difficulties with anxiety, depression, grief, childhood abuse, bullying, rape, post-traumatic stress, work-related stress, sexuality and relationships. I work with adults and am experienced in short-term counselling as well as longer term work. I also have a special interest in infertility and miscarriage.

In the past I have worked in senior management in the NHS and in management consultancy in the private sector. I  have a masters degree in healthcare leadership and postgraduate training in fertility. I also worked in a fertility clinic in Edinburgh for many years before commencing counselling training.
